RESISTED PLYOMETRIC EXERCISES INCREASE MUSCLE STRENGTH IN YOUNG BASKETBALL PLAYERS

ABSTRACT Introduction: Training methods that increase muscle strength have an important effect on basketball. Objective: This study was planned to investigate the of a 12-week resisted plyometric training program for isokinetic in young basketball players. Methods: Thirty-five male athletes who participate regular were randomly assigned one three groups: control group (C), exercise (P), and (RP). All players participated standard 5 days week 12 weeks. While performed only training, P RP programs, respectively, 3 week. Vertical jump height at 60, 180 300°s-1 measured beginning end study. Results: The programs did not alter vertical performance. However, increased all angles groups. Conclusion: Plyometric applied weeks positive Level evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation treatment results.
